Three inmates escaped Monday morning in Ross County.
It happened around 9 a.m. while the inmates were at the county jail. The three were being transferred to a half-way house and were being picked up in a van at the jail.
While getting inside the van, the three fled on foot, running in different directions.
Chillicothe Police and Chillicothe Probation were able to search the area and find the three individuals a short time later. At least one was found inside a nearby house.
No additional charges have been filed at this time, but the escapees are expected to have their probation violated.
