A local dollar store was robbed Thursday night in Chillicothe.
It happened at around 8:15 p.m. at Dollar General on Main Street.
Police reported that a woman was trying to buy a pack of cigarettes when her card declined. That’s when she grabbed the pack of cigarettes off the counter and tried to run out the door.
In the process of fleeing, a store manager tried to stop the woman, but the woman reportedly punched the manager in the face. The manager was not seriously hurt.
Police are reviewing security camera footage of the incident. No suspect information has been released at this time.
