Ross County Auditor Tom Spetnagel awarded an essay contest winner this week.
“Today, I presented Walker Throne with the coveted #1 dog tag, as well as a commemorative t-shirt and prize package filled with treats and goodies for Digby,” said Spetnagel.
Walker is a student of Mrs. Zupi’s 4th Grade class at Chillicothe Elementary.
As a reminder, Ross County’s dog tag season is now underway and runs through January 31, 2021. Tags are $10 per dog ($50 per kennel) and may be purchased through the mail or online at www.doglicenses.us/OH/Ross/. Although in-person contact is strongly discouraged this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, tags may also be purchased at the Ross County Auditor’s Office, the Ross County Humane Society, and North Fork Animal Clinic, as well as 5 additional satellite locations throughout the county.
