A home was engulfed in smoke and flames Thursday afternoon.
It happened in Chillicothe at around 3:45 p.m. near the intersections of Watt Street and Eastern Avenue.
Two fire departments battled the blaze, which was under control in less than an hour.
Neighbors flocked to a nearby empty lot; one person was overheard telling family members that, “everyone made it out,” but that was not confirmed by firefighters.
Firefighters reported four people were displaced in the fire and that the Red Cross was assisting the family.
No additional details have been released.
