Obituary
Arlie Johnson,77, of Chillicothe, went to be with his Lord at 1:37 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born December 7, 1943, in Ross County, to the late Herschel and Helen Butcher Johnson. On January 10, 1964, he married the former Barbara Currier who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Bobby (Nicole) Johnson, of Chillicothe; a daughter, Marcella (Adam) Rapp, of Londonderry; grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) Hughes, Holden Johnson, Sean Johnson, Christopher Rapp and Joshua Rapp; great grandchildren, Addison Hughes and Killian Hughes; brothers, David (Mary) Johnson and Earl (Dorothy) Johnson; sisters, Donna Short and Janet Elder, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Elmer Johnson; a sister, Kay Pigge; and a brother-in-law, Dave Elder.
Arlie along with his wife, Barbara, were the owners and operators Johnson’s Loving Care Veterans Home in Chillicothe for many years.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff of NCR Hospice for the loving care given to Arlie and compassion shown to our family during this time.
A private funeral service will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 in God’s Pentecostal House of Prayer Church, in Londonderry. Private viewing will be held at the church prior to the service on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
