Three people were booked into the Scioto County Jail after a child was found with black eyes and bruises.
Sheriff David Thoroughman said on Monday that a mother was visiting her son in Wheelersburg when she found he had several injuries. The Sheriff reported that the child, who is 4-years-old, was living with his father and the father’s girlfriend.
“When the door was opened, the mother saw her child covered in bruises, including two black eyes. The mother pushed the door open and grabbed her child, taking him to Southern Ohio Medical Center,” the Sheriff said.
The child was transferred to Nationwide Children’s in Columbus, where he is expected to be okay, according to the Sheriff.
