Obituary
Elvis Renard Henry, age 64 passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was born on October 9, 1956 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Thelma Hoggett Henry and Walter Henry. He was the eighth born of his seven siblings. At an early age, his family relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio where Elvis was baptized at Corinthian Baptist Church.
After graduation from Courter Technical High School, Elvis attended Bowling Green State
University in Bowling Green, OH, where he found an interest in theater. He enjoyed music (especially gospel) and Broadway plays. During his journey through life, Elvis and Sherry Richardson (preceded in death) became parents to, Le’Shonda Shereen Richardson. Several years later, Elvis married April Jordan and relocated to Columbus, OH. This union produced 2 sons, Aaron Bryson Henry and Elvis Renard Henry Jr. Elvis staged his life legacy from the characteristics that he displayed by being a loving son, brother, father, papa, uncle and friend to many. On many occasions, Elvis would share his life experiences with a story or two that will forever keep his memory with us.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Hoggett Boyd.
Elvis is survived by his daughter, Le’Shonda; his sons Aaron and Renard; his grandchildren, Kahnia, Ambonisye, Kyla, Octavian, Katriel, Jermaine, Kyler and Aaryn; his siblings, James (Frankie), Marjorie, Rod, Nelda (Donald), Alice (William), Walt; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends and a special other daughter, Shalena Berry.
A Home Coming Celebration will be held Friday March 12, 2021 at 1 PM at the Chapel of Edwards Funeral Service, 1166 Parsons Ave where family will receive friends beginning at 12 Noon.
