Obituary

Carla Jo (Cox) Sowers passed away on March 18, 2021 at age 56, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Carla was born on August 28,1964 in Fort Leonard Wood, MO to the late Carl Edward and Emma Joyce (Leeth) Cox. She was a 1982 Graduate of Miami Trace High School.

She worked many years in the service industry. She was most recently employed by Stratosphere. Carla will be remembered as a hard working and dedicated person, who loved her work and would always do her best to support co-workers, team members, and employees. This was demonstrated by the many hours of overtime she worked and the frequent fond stories she would share with friends and family. Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who left so many good memories to be cherished by her family.

Carla is survived by her husband Michael Sowers, with whom she shared 21 beautiful years of marriage; children, Carissa (Joe) Syrus, Melissa (Damea) Alexander, Courtney Joseph (Steven Allen) and Sabrina Sowers; grandchildren, Chaylee Wilson, Kenzie Wilson, Mea Alexander, Declan Alexander, Noah Sowers, Cameron Allen, and bonus grandchildren Madison Alexander and Olivia Alexander. She also leaves her siblings, Cara Cox, Cassia (Andy) Graham, Dave (Susan) Sowers, Tracey Sowers and Stacey (Shaun) Betkey, as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and her many friends, including her two dogs Smelly and Dutches.

Funeral services will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington C.H., Ohio with Pastor Matt Keaton officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5pm until the start of service.
