Two men were arrested early Friday morning after a pursuit in Ross County, while a passenger overdosed.
It happened at around 3:45 a.m. after a white Chevy Impala was being pulled over for weaving out of marked lanes.
That’s when the car refused to stop and led deputies on a chase. Troopers and Chillicothe Police joined in the pursuit while it traveled down Bridge Street, onto Eastern Avenue, before snaking its way back into town. Eventually, the car was cornered inside Sherman Park along Steele Street.
Two men were taken into custody at gunpoint. Their names have not been released. A third person suffered an overdose in the car and was taken to the hospital.
When both men were asked by the Guardian why they ran from police, one of them said, “I didn’t do it.”
