ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Detectives are investigating a suspicious death in Ross County after a man was found dead inside the woods and his body apparently dragged.
Deputies said they responded to 250 Easterday Road on Monday. They wrote in their report that when they arrived, they found Jeffrey Cottrrill, dead, in the woods.
“Jeffrey was laying in a wooded area on a power line right-of-way. Jeffrey had been placed on a pink blanket and drug several yards away from where he was stated to be found,” the deputy wrote in their report.
Deputies interviewed a woman, who they said told them that she had found him that morning after he was arrested the previous night and taken to the hospital.
No other information has been released as the investigation continues.
