SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman took nearly 500 grams of meth off the streets on Thursday.
The Sheriff said his deputies, SWAT, and Portsmouth Police raided a home along route 50 after a probation check uncovered a large amount of drugs.
38-year-old probationer, Brian Christopher Carr, failed to check-in and that’s when officers went to his house. Upon a search of his home and investigation by probation officers and detectives, 480 grams of methamphetamine, plastic bags, digital scales, and additional items related to suspected drug trafficking were seized from the residence. The estimated street value of the suspected methamphetamine seized is $7,650.
Carr was arrested for violating probation and additionally charged with a first degree felony of drug possession. 41-year-old Amber Rushwell Aeh was also arrested on a Portsmouth Municipal Court warrant for violating probation. She was additionally charged with possession of drugs.
