FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — A Pickaway County man died Wednesday night in a fatal crash, as well as another person.
It happened along route 22 near route 33 in Fairfield County. Troopers say Patrick L. Anderson, 49, Amanda, was driving a grey 2002 Toyota Avalon westbound, and that Michael L. Triplett, 47, Johnstown, was driving eastbound. Triplett drove left of the double yellow line and struck Anderson’s vehicle head-on.

Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene by Berne Township medics and was transported from the scene by Johnson Transport to the Montgomery County Morgue. Troopers said he was not wearing his safety belt.
Triplett sustained minor injuries and was transported from the scene by Lancaster EMS to Fairfield Medical Center. He had three occupants in the vehicle. The right front passenger, Barbara J. Triplett, 78, Johnstown was taken to Fairfield Medical Center where she died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. A backseat passenger, Cortney S. Triplett, 48, Johnstown, was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital where she was in serious but stable condition. Another backseat passenger was a 16-year-old boy. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital.
