Robert Knecht
November 30, 1950 -March 21, 2021
Robert Carl Knecht, 70 passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton following a long battle with Crone’s disease. He was born November 30, 1950 to the late Clarence A. and Mary Agnes Broderick Knecht in Jamestown, Ohio. Bob was a 1969 Miami Trace graduate and a proud farmer until his declining health forced him to retire and turn the farming over to his son. Bob was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Jamestown.
Robert is survived by his wife Kendra Wuest Knecht of 48 years, son Matt and Angie Knecht and two Grandchildren he adored Aiden and Alli; also surviving are sisters Mary Ann Knecht and Kathy and Kevin Carter; one brother John Knecht; sister in law Rhonda and Rick Massie; nephews Michael and Chris Carter and Marc Grubb; niece Megan Hicks and her family; uncle Carroll Knecht; special friends Mike and Billie Lanman and Lamar and Connie DeMent along with many nephews and nieces and their families, cousins and caring friends.
From the wishes of Robert, cremation was held. A private mass will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jamestown. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday March 30, 2021 at 1:00PM with Father Andrew Cordonnier at the Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville. At the request of the family mask are to be worn.
Due to his love of farming and three generations of FFA members, donations may be made to the Miami Trace FFA Alumni, 300 Bloomingburg New Holland rd. Washington C.H. 43160 or Hospice of Dayton
