Dan E. Ater, 66, of Clarksburg, died at his residence Monday morning following a courageous 20-year battle with cancer.
Dan’s survivors include his mother, Rebecca “Becky” (Steinhauser) Ater; sons and daughters-in-law Kyle (Sarah), Nick (Stacey), and Daniel Ater; daughter and son-in-law Mackenzie (Hunter) Hubbard; his special companion Linda Leatherwood; and sisters Ruth Ann Sowers and Nancy Heck.
Arrangements and complete obituary for the Deerfield Twp. Trustee and Ohio Harness Racing Hall of Fame driver and trainer are being completed at this time.
