CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — An EMT who lived and worked in Chillicothe has passed away from COVID-19 complications.

Jason Kroll lost his battle to the coronavirus on Monday. He had been fighting the illness for several days.

Kroll was a basic EMT, having attended Pickaway-Ross in 2013 and was employed by MedFlight in Chillicothe. He was a volunteer firefighter and served as a volunteer EMT in Ross County.

Jason and his wife, Vicki served as a foster family to many kids.

MedFlight released a statement on Monday in Kroll’s memory.

“Jason was a valued team member and Field Training Officer at our Chillicothe base,” the company said in a statement. “He was well-loved by those who knew him and will be missed by so many.”

Kroll leaves behind a wife and eight children.
