AMANDA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A man died Thursday morning in a house fire near the Pickaway and Fairfield County line.
Firefighters with Amanda Township said that they were called to 7985 Lancaster-Circleville Road just after 1 a.m.
When crews arrived, the house was engulfed with flames shooting through the house. Three people were able to escape the inferno, officials said, but a man was unaccounted. When investigators were eventually able to get inside the house at around 8 a.m., they found the man’s body; his name has not been released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
