BAINBRIDGE, Ohio — Deputies say a Bainbridge man is expected to be okay after accidentally shooting himself.

According to reports, law enforcement responded to Garman Lane in Ross County Sunday morning after a man called 9-1-1 to report he had shot himself in the foot. The man told deputies he was trying to kill a raccoon on his porch. That’s when, deputies say the gun’s trigger became caught on the man’s pants and fired.

James L. Haynes, Jr., was taken to Greenfield-Adena Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
