LEBANON, Ohio — Lebanon city council voted 6-0 to pass a ordinance making abortions illegal within the city.

Those caught performing an abortion will be charged with a misdemeanor and face a $1,000 fine and up to 6 months in jail.

Out of state advocacy group called, “Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn” lobbied to get this ordinance passed.

According to the groups website they have been involved in lobbying for local abortion bans since 2019. They boast that they have successfully lobbied for full abortion bans in over 20 cities across America. Lebanon, Ohio being the most recent.
