THE BELOW STORY DETAILS AN ALLEGED SEXUAL ASSAULT. TRIGGER WARNINGS AND READER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
TWIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A teenage girl who attends Paint Valley schools said she was raped while riding the school bus by another student.
The girl reported to the Ross County Sheriff’s office this week that a male student pinned her against her seat in September, started touching her leg, before he put his hand in her waistband, and penetrated her with his finger. The girl reportedly told the boy to stop and tried to push him away. Afterwards, the male student allegedly said that they were “now dating” and that she was his. The girl is reportedly 13-years-old, while the young boy is 14, records show.
Deputies took the report and asked the girl why she waited months later to come forward. According to the report, the girl feared retribution at school because the alleged rapist was a “popular student.” According to the report, the male student is under investigation for sexually assaulting another student last month.
The superintendent for Paint Valley Schools was out of the office on Friday when the Guardian reached out for comment. The school district said the Sheriff’s office had not reported the incident to them.
The case has been referred to Child Protective Services, the report documents.
