SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio-
Samuel Ray Altman, 40, of Lucasville was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting.
Scioto County 911 dispatch received a call at 7:46pm from a residence at 186 Sedan Crabtree Road in Lucasville. The caller stated that he had shot a man and that the victim had drove away in a vehicle.
A short time later 911 received a second call from a female stating she was taking the gunshot victim to the hospital. Dispatch instructed the female to meet EMS at the Lucasville Park and Ride.
Deputies and detectives were sent to both the Lucasville Park and Ride as well as the residence on Sedan Crabtree Road.
During the investigation Detectives took Altman in for questioning. The victim latter identified as Dakota Paul Lewis Watkins, 21, of Lucasville died from his injuries at the Southern Ohio Medical Center.
During the course of the investigation Detectives learned that there was a altercation at the 186 Sedan Crabtree Road residence that ended with the deadly shooting of Watkins.
After police interviews with witnesses Altman was taken into custody and charged with murder. Altman is currently being held on a $100,000 bond and is expected to appear in court June 7th.
