CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections is in the early stages of a possible program that would supply prisons with body cams for staff.
The state is currently accepting bid proposals from four companies to provide body cams for Chillicothe Correctional Institution in Chillicothe, and Ohio’s supermax facility in Youngstown, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
The prisons will be given a 45 day trial period.
The price tag for this program will be close to $17 million dollars.
