PIKETON, Ohio — A Pike County man who is a guidance counselor and pastor has plead guilty to a reduced charge after he allegedly exposed himself in front of teenagers.
Jeffrey Forbes, of Commercial Boulevard, Piketon, will serve one year of probation and pay a $100 fine after he plead guilty Monday to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct. He had been charged with a fourth degree misdemeanor of public indecency.
Police reports state that Forbes’ neighbor contacted deputies after the neighbor’s teenage daughter came to him and said that she saw Forbes outside, naked; she also told her father that she had taken a picture, as well as catching it on a security camera.
“[The neighbor] advised he had texted Jeff about the incident, and Jeff initially advised he had been outside because he thought someone was around his property,” the deputy wrote in the report. “I was advised Jeff had been seen at least ten-to-fifteen prior times naked on his [own] property….”
Deputies interviewed Forbes, 57, who told them the same thing he had texted his neighbor. Despite Forbes’ reasoning for why he was caught on video in the nude, deputies charged him with one count of public indecency. They also told him that if he was going to be walking around his own property again, he needed to wear clothes.
Forbes is employed as a guidance counselor at Pike County Career Tech, the report reads. A call to the superintendent of Pike County Career Tech in April seeking the status of Forbes’ employment revealed that Forbes has been placed on leave pending “an investigation.” A call on Monday seeking an update to Forbes’ employment was not returned.
