CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Firefighters and a bomb sniffing dog were called to a Chillicothe home on Tuesday after residents say they found explosives.
When firefighters arrived, they said they were told “dynamite” might possible be in the garage of the house. The Ross County Sheriff’s office deployed their K-9 bomb sniffing dog, Petey.
“K-9 Petey was deployed from the vehicle. He showed no signs of alerting to or indicating to a source of odor he has been trained to detect,” deputies wrote in their report.
The suspected dynamite was found to be emergency road flares.
