CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — According to the Circleville Police Department, a women reported that she and her children were nearly abducted on South Pickaway Street.
Police report that it happened Tuesday when a man driving a white four door vehicle approached the family as they were walking down the street. The suspect then attempted to use his vehicle to block in the family, police said. The woman reported that the man tried to force them inside.
The woman and her children were able to flee to a near-by house and call 9-1-1, police reported.
A vehicle matching the description given by the woman was latter found on Logan street in Circleville. During their investigation, police discovered that the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day from the Pilot Truck Stop on route 23.
Police found Wesley Stallworth, and according to police, the keys to the stolen car were found in his pocket.
Police took Stallworth into custody and charged him with receiving stolen property and three counts of attempted abduction.
