CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Officials have released the name of the woman killed in an early morning house trailer fire in Circleville.

Joyce Chestnut, 71, was identified as the victim of the fatal fire by officials. Her trailer went up in flames just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday along Renick Avenue.

Several fire crews worked to battle the blaze, but by the time they made entry, Chestnut was found lifeless; her beloved cat also perished.

The state fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate. While an official cause has not been released, a spokesman for the state said that the fire appears to have started in the kitchen.

Funeral arrangements for Chestnut are pending.
