MCARTHUR, Ohio — A bomb scare rocked Vinton County on Wednesday.

According to a 9-1-1 call that came into the Sheriff’s office, a person said there was an explosive in the county courthouse that was going to blowup the building.

Deputies from Ross and Vinton counties immediately evacuated the building for safety. The McArthur Fire Department aided deputies in setting up a perimeter around the building.

According to reports, deputies along with a bomb-sniffing K-9 searched the courthouse and found no signs of an explosive. The courthouse was reopened a short time later. According to Law Enforcement, the case remains under investigation.
