DALLAS MARSHALL II, age 77, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 3:06 p.m. at his home after a seven-year battle with cancer.
He was born on October 20, 1943 in Greene County to Dallas and Annis (Hunt) Marshall. He was a 1961 graduate of Xenia High School. Dallas proudly served in the United States Army from 1963-1965. After returning home from the military, he graduated in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ohio Northern University. Dallas came to Washington CH in 1976 to work for his then father-in-law, Ev Lovhaug, at Ev’s Fine Foods; he stayed with the business for twelve years. Dallas later owned and operated Marshall Septic Services until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. We will miss his great sense of humor.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Ann Parks.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy “Marlene” (Wyrick) Marshall, whom he married on December 18, 2004; his children, D. Brent (Jennifer) Marshall and Kelli Sue (Ryan) Lynch; step-children, Rachel Trimmer and her significant other, Steve Vermillion and Darcy (Nyleah) Trimmer; grandchildren, Emily, Erica, and Justin Marshall and Madeline and Evan Lynch; step-grandchildren, Josh and Jocelyn Trimmer; and siblings, Bruce Marshall of Petoskey, Michigan, Lisa Marshall of Bellbrook, Ohio, and Lora Walker of Wilmington, Ohio. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Brookes officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
