PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — A substantial amount of drugs were seized in a crash along Orr Road in Pickaway County.

It happened at around 3 p.m. between route 23 and County Line Road on Sunday, troopers said.

The man crashed his car and had non-life threatening injuries; he was flown from the scene. A second person was also injured in the crash, medics said, and a medical helicopter was called to the hospital for that person. There were no other vehicles involved.

Deputies are shown here bending down, collecting bags of drugs that were discarded after the crash.

Troopers told the Guardian that a “substantial” amount of drugs were found at the scene, including a half-gallon bag of presumable meth. Marijuana was also present in the car, law enforcement said. Deputies said the driver “fell asleep.”

The names of those involved were not immediately released.
