CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The city of Chillicothe announced that sand volleyball was coming to downtown, Saturday, August 28.

According to organizers, Herrnstein Auto Group, and Fifty West Brewing Company sponsored the event that will flood the downtown area with 300 tons of sand.

The volleyball tournament starts at 9 a.m and will continue until 6 p.m. The tournament will feature twelve competitive teams, and twelve recreational teams. The cost per competitive team was $250, and $150 per recreational team.

According to city officials, at 7 p.m., the downtown area will turn into one giant beach party. Live music, and adult beverages will be available.
