WILMINGTON, Ohio– The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Scioto Valley at risk for severe weather.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, the Scioto Valley will experience an active weather pattern for the next few days.

A low-pressure system will enter the Great Lakes area and will kick off showers and storms mainly in the afternoon, and early evening hours, on Sunday and Monday according to NWS. 

Meteorologists say that damaging winds and localized flooding will be the primary threats.
