CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Agents with the state’s attorney general crime lab were at a home in Chillicothe on Tuesday.

The house on Walnut Street is believed to be connected to the case involving a once missing teenager, Abrianna Ooten. Ooten, 17, was last seen last week by her family. While she was reported as a runaway, the crime lab’s presence would allude a criminal probe has been launched. She was found this week, according to the Sheriff. The nature of the criminal investigation was not revealed.

A man was taken into custody on Monday for questioning, but no charges have been formally filed against him. It was believed by law enforcement sources that the man was romantically involved with the teenager.

What BCI was searching for inside the home was not immediately released by officials.
