CHILLICOTHE, Ohio– Chillicothe Police are investigating the suspicious death of a Frankfort man who died in Chillicothe.

According to police, 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call regarding a man who was dead at an apartment on East Main Street, on Saturday.

Inside, Rex Knisley, 67, Frankfort, was dead.

” …. the death is being considered suspicious at this time. The detective is still actively investigating this case, waiting for autopsy and toxicology results,” said Captain Michael Short of the Chillicothe Police Department.

Reports state multiple officers along with detectives arrived at the East Main Street apartment to begin processing the scene.

Officials say the exact cause of death has yet to be announced, pending results of an autopsy.

No additional details were released, and the case remains under investigation.
