PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — Multiple law enforcement agencies are scouring southern Ohio for a man and woman who are believed to have opened fire into a business.
Just before 2 p.m., medics and law enforcement were called a business in the 100 block of Neville Street in Circleville. According to law enforcement, the initial report was that a man and woman were outside the business and opened fire in a “drive-by” fashion, before peeling away.
Lieutenant John Strawser with the Pickaway Sheriff’s office told the Guardian that they are looking for a dark colored SUV, believed to be used as the getaway car.
Strawser said this is not an active shooter situation and that there is no reason to believe anyone else is in danger.
Multiple ambulances and a medical helicopter were called to the scene. One person was shot in the leg and taken to a Columbus area hospital, EMS reported.
A mass casualty incident was declared by EMS and a staging area was setup at a local fire department.
