ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A wanted couple evaded law enforcement after a high-speed chase in Ross County.
According to the Ross County Sheriff, a man and a woman were driving a rental truck along route 23 in Ross County early Sunday morning. Deputies attempted to pull the car over when the driver and his companion fled. It was then, deputies say, they gave chase to the vehicle.
The couple later, identified as Johnathon Wooten and Shelby Hurley managed to get away from law enforcement after they had lost sight of the car.
Wooten, law enforcement said, has multiple warrants out of Ross County. The female passenger, Shelby Hurley, is wanted, according to deputies, by an out-of-area jurisdiction.
The Sheriff said Wooten now faces additional charges related to the incident.
