SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio– Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol seized nearly $100,000 worth of illegal drugs in a Scioto County traffic stop.
Troopers located a 2021 Chevy Malibu on Sunday, September 5 traveling along route 823 in Scioto County. According to reports, the vehicle, registered out of Texas, was pulled over for a marked lane violation.
The occupant of the vehicle, troopers say, displayed criminal indicators, and a canine unit was requested to the location.
Upon a search of the vehicle, a Glock 9mm handgun, and nearly 900 grams of suspected methamphetamine were found.
Arrested at the scene was Michael D. Rogers, 31, Harper Woods, Michigan on charges of drug possession, and drug trafficking.
Rogers was taken to the Scioto County Jail where he remains incarcerated.
