ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A single-vehicle accident closed County Road 550 in Ross County, Friday evening.
According to 9-1-1 dispatch, a vehicle was traveling along County Road 550 near Ater’s Lake when it struck an electric pole, knocking it to the ground.
South Central Power was requested at the scene to deal with the broken pole and downed transformer.
The exact cause of the accident and the extent of any injuries were not immediately released.
The Ohio Highway Patrol could not give an estimated time for the road to be re-opened. Residents are asked to avoid the area as crews work to clear the scene.
