PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — Multiple people were flown from a crash in Pickaway County

Emergency crews, along with troopers from the Ohio Highway Patrol and deputies with the Sheriff’s office responded to the accident on Sunday, around 8 p.m. along route 22 near Bolender Pontious Road.

According to initial reports, multiple medical helicopters were requested to the scene to transport the most critical patients to a Columbus area hospital.

The highway was closed while crews worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the names and extent of any injuries were not immediately released.
