WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — The Municipal Court in Washington Court House will be closed Monday.
The closure comes after a serious COVID-19 outbreak among court staff.
It started about a week ago after a clerk attended work while coughing and with a fever. She later tested positive for COVID-19. Multiple other court personnel, including numerous deputy clerks and bailiffs contracted the virus and are also out sick.
As a result of the staff shortage, Judge Victor D. Pontious said the court will be closed Monday, September 20.
