CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Police say trespassers attacked a man after he caught them on his property.
Chillicothe officers went to 295 East Second Street on reports of an assault Thursday evening. Upon arrival, officers found a man bleeding from the head and arm.
The victim told police that three white male suspects and one Black male with long dreads attacked him after he caught them trespassing.
Police said a witness saw the incident and said that the four suspects had the property owner on the ground as they were attacking him. The witness, according to reports, spotlighted the suspects with a flashlight to get their attention. The suspects then fled the area.
Surveillance footage from a nearby gas station showed the suspects fleeing on their bicycles, police say.
Anyone with information on the attack is encouraged to contact the Chillicothe Police at 740-773-1191.
