CHILLICOTHE, Ohio– Chillicothe Police responded over the weekend to reports of a shooting on North Hickory Street.
According to police, 9-1-1 dispatch received a call from two women who said they were afraid for their lives, and that a male suspect was threatening them with a gun.
Witnesses said Tre Beverly, 29, had threatened the two women and then walked outside and fired multiple shots.
Officers with the Chillicothe Police reported that they heard the shots coming from Hickory Street. Statements gathered by police said the weapon was an AR-556 rifle.
Authorities say Beverly was highly intoxicated at the time. He was arrested and charged with discharge of a firearm on near a prohibited premises. The incident remains under investigation.
