ARLINGTON, Texas — Alleged school shooter Timothy George Simpkins is free today, after posting bail, officials said.
Simpkins is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following a shooting at Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas.
Law enforcement said the shooting happened following a fight at the school. Simpkin’s family told the media that he was bullied and robbed twice by fellow classmates.
Police say Simpkins began shooting in a classroom at the school Wednesday afternoon. Authorities said, two people were shot during the incident and two others were injured. The current condition of those involved was not immediately released.
Timothy Simpkins was located by police following a brief manhunt. He was originally booked into jail on a $75,000 bond.
