Sheriff Thoroughman said 9-1-1 dispatch received a call around 4 p.m. on reports of someone shot. Deputies, officials say, responded to 148 Enley Road.
Reports say as deputies were on their way to the scene, the suspects fled the area in a maroon Ford pickup.
Upon arrival, authorities say, they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. The victim, according to witnesses, was shot at the 300 block of Enley Road and ran away after being shot.
The victim, according to the sheriff, was airlifted to Cabell Hospital in stable condition.
Upon investigation, deputies found one suspect, Jason Hammond, at the Enley Road residence.

Hiding inside a camper near the truck was Jon Roberts, 34, Otway, and Destiny Evans, 37, McDermott. After searching the camper deputies say, they located a 9mm handgun hidden under a sink.
