CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – A Chillicothe man is in jail today after police say he ran from them and possessed several stolen items.
Chillicothe Police went to the area of Pawnee Road Tuesday afternoon on reports of a suspicious person.
According to reports, officers used their lights and sirens to try and stop the suspect. The individual, police say, then began to speed away on his bicycle, cutting through the Zane Plaza Shopping Mall’s rear parking lot.
As the suspect fled from the police, he reportedly began tossing several items. The man, identified as Jeremy Dunn, 35, lost control of his bicycle and wrecked it. Authorities say Dunn attempted to continue fleeing on foot, but police apprehended him without incident.
Chillicothe Police say Dunn had several brand-new outfits from TJ-MAXX, CHAMPS, and GABE’s with tags still on the clothing. Police say they found drug paraphernalia and multiple pills on his person.
Dunn faces charges for receiving stolen property and drug paraphernalia. He remains in custody at the Ross County Jail pending arraignment.
