ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Ross County student says she was sexually assaulted multiple times at Zane Trace Middle School in Ross County.
Initial reports say deputies with the Sheriff’s Office received a call from a parent who stated that their child had been sexually assaulted multiple times at the school.
The 13-year-old victim told police that another female would follow the girl to the school’s restroom and begin grabbing her and touching her inappropriately. She went on to tell police that these assaults happened multiple times but were “too scared and embarrassed to report them.”
The Guardian reached out to the principal of Zane Trace Middle School and the district’s superintendent for comment multiple times but have yet to hear back.
Authorities said they advised the parents to seek a protection order against the perpetrator. Since the case involves juveniles, no names were released.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office say the investigation is ongoing, and no further details were immediately available.
