ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — An unknown suspect opened fire on a dump truck belonging to a Ross County resident.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1500 block of Pleasant Valley Road near Chillicothe, October 18, on a criminal mischief complaint.
Upon arrival, reports say, the owner told deputies that someone had shot up his dump truck. Deputies reported seeing several bullet holes in the 2006 GMC 3500 truck.
The dump truck, according to reports, was hit nearly a dozen times by two different caliber weapons.
No shell casings were found, according to officials.
There have yet to be any arrests in the incident, and the case remains under investigation by law enforcement.
