Marjorie I. Umphries, 75, of Chillicothe, passed away at 6:31 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2021, in Signature HealthCare of Chillicothe following an extended illness.
She was born June 3, 1946, in Chillicothe, to the late Charles and Bessie Coey Bower.
Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Charlie (Brent) Jones, of Chillicothe; sons, Todd Pence and James Edward Umphries II, both of Chillicothe; many grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special niece, Wilma Phillips, of Kentucky. She was predeceased by sons, Mike Pence and Timothy Umphries, and as a sister, Frieda Miller.
Marjorie retired from RCA in Circleville.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021, in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Chris VanBuskirk officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
