Shane Allen Holton, 46, of Waverly, Ohio was received into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, November 13, 2021. He was born May 28, 1975 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Steve (Dawn) Holton of Waverly and Linda Stevens of Piketon, Ohio. Also surviving are a son, Bryke Holton of Waverly; brothers, Mitch (Amanda) Crane of Florida and Daniel Irvine of Piketon; a sister, Dana (Steven) Law of Arizona; grandfather, Arvil (Delores) Stevens of Piketon; the mother of his son Bryke, Vicki Miller of Columbus and Vicki’s children, Nadia, Mackenzie and Ashtyn and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Shane was preceded in death by his grandmother Dene Stevens Ellis, grandparents Robert and Patricia Sears and great grandparents Jake and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Bandy.
Shane was a 1994 graduate of Waverly High School where he played all sports, but he fell in love with football – he loved the Bengals, Browns and Buckeyes. Two of Shane’s happiest days were in December 1999 when his son Bryke was born and in October 2018 when he received Christ as his Savior. He was a gentle soul with a big heart, and a friend to many. Shane battled complications of mental health disease until his Lord called him home. Shane, we love you and we will miss you dearly.
