CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — An apartment building went up in flames in Chillicothe Wednesday morning; the second complex to burn within a week in the city.
It happened at around 1 a.m. at the Sherman Park apartments along the 600 block.
When firefighters arrived they found a corner unit engulfed in flames. Police officers went door-to-door to awake neighbors to evacuate.
It was not immediately released how the fire started or if everyone made it out safely.
Last week, nearly a dozen apartments were destroyed in a fire at Dogwood Apartments along Western Avenue.
