CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — On Thursday, the Circleville Police Department seized a large amount of suspected illegal narcotics during a traffic stop.

According to reports, officers saw a known drugs trafficker on Kingston Pike at the intersection of Ohio Street at around 11:45 p.m. After numerous traffic infractions, the car was stopped by police.

Soon after, authorities say, the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 unit was contacted for assistance.

Police say, over 38 grams of drugs were seized during the search, including Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, and an undetermined amount of purplish-gray powder. Additionally, transparent plastic baggies, digital scales, magnetic boxes, and an excess of drug paraphernalia were discovered.

The powder is suspected to be Fentanyl or a Fentanyl-related compound, officials said.

Clifford W. Browning II, 48, Circleville, was arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking and felony drug possession.
