ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — On Tuesday afternoon, numerous fire and rescue departments responded to a home fire.

The residence in the 1400 block of Edgington Road in South Salem was engulfed in flames, according to initial reports.

All of the inhabitants had made it out of the blazing structure, according to 9-1-1 dispatch.

Water tankers and additional manpower were requested by emergency services at the scene.

Law enforcement asked that residents avoid the area as crews worked to extinguish the flames.

The exact cause of the blaze has not been determined, officials said, and the fire is still under investigation.
